Hello family and Friends,
Today we got to sleep in an extra 30m, and what a difference it made(along with all the prayers). We ate breakfast and then all met up to head downtown. We started out at a great location - Battery park. With the Statue of Liberty off in the distance. It was a little smoggy today with the high temps so it wasn't a clear shot of our Lady of Liberty, but we got some good pictures regardless! Next we headed to ground zero. First we walked around inside the Trinity church. The stain glass windows were amazing, and the boys pretended to be Nickolas Cage from "National Treasure"!!! Next we walked by Engine 10 company to see the new Tower of Liberty that is being built, along with the 9/11 memorial. Always a humbling experience! We decided to eat lunch while there at a pricy little pizza place- great pizza with NYC prices :)From there we headed uptown to Time Square- most of us ended up at Toys R Us!!! After our sightseeing ended we headed back to the Bronz to finish up our Bible clubs, both groups had a good turn out, and Team 2 had 4 kids accept Christ!!! We finished the night out in worship and sharing Testimonys. It was a powerful evening and one we all really needed. God has heard your prayers and given us renewed strength and love for one another. Thank you for your support. Tomorrow we head to the Bowery. Peace!!!! NYC Trib3
Amazing testimonies from young people who love and are serving our Lord. It is so encouraging to hear a generation who desires to glorify Christ. Always life changing when we go "out" and share love. 1 John 3:22

ReplyDeleteHey everyone,
ReplyDeleteSo awesome to hear everything God is doing through you & to hear about the many lives He has changed through you! He has also sustained you & kept you strong through the heat & exhaustion by bringing rest at just the right time. Also, good to hear you have gotten to see some of the sites in the city... such an awesome yet crazy place! Can't wait to hear the stories & testimonies when you return. Continue to stay strong in Him & have a safe trip home. Sorry for the last minute posting but hey, better late than never right?
